In September of 2022 – Me, Mom and Carl took a three day trip to some National Parks in Arizona. On this day we went to the Grand Canyon. I was here two years ago but this time I got to see all new things. It was a perfect day and weather was great.
We stopped by the sign and me and mom got our picture taken in front of it.
We drove to the parking lot of the visitor center. The main visitor center was closed still but they had rangers to talk too and they had stamps. Also the little book store that is across from the visitor center was open to get you stuff and also had stamps.
First thing we did was walk to one of the canyon ruins. Very pretty views.
After we took a shuttle to the Grand Canyon Village. We got off near one of the hotels. We walked along the rim and saw different views.
After that we took the shuttle back to our car and drove up the Yavapai Geology Museum. We saw two Elk hanging around the area. It was cool to see Elk that close but people were chasing after them. Very pretty views.
After going through the museum we drove to Desert View Watchtower. The first floor was open but you couldn’t go into the tower. More pretty views.
We were there until it closed. We stopped at a outlook and saw the sunset. Wonderful colors you can see. Very pretty.
Here is one of the stamps i got. There are a lot of places in the park where you can get stamps. I pretty much got maybe half of them.
Grand Canyon National Park (U.S. National Park Service) (nps.gov)
There are so many great things to see at the Grand Canyon. You could probably find something new to do each time you visited from hiking to scenery to amazing photos to take.
The Grand Canyon is a beautiful place. It’s fun that you got to collect some stamps 🙂
Great recommendations.. NPS is our favorite and we always look for a site whenever we travel!
