On October 7, 2022 – Me and My Dad did a road trip from Arizona to New Mexico. My dad lives in Santa Fe, NM so he drove down to pick me up.
Our first spot we stopped at was Navajo National Monument located in North East of Arizona. This is a new park for my collection.
We went to the visitor center and got the info for the park and got my stamps.
From the visitor center you can choose from three trails you can walk to see the ruins. We took Sandal Trail that is 1.3 miles that is paved. There are some area that are a little rough. I got to use my walking sticks.
We got to the outlook and seeing the ruins was a amazing to see. It’s so cool to see how the Ancestral Puebloan residents carved these rocks into living homes. I wish I knew how long it took. I bet a long time that there was different tribes living there.
