Today we are celebrating the Birthday of the United States. America will be 247 years old. On this day the Declaration of Independence was ratified by the US Second Continental Congress.
Some of the people that were part of Congress were John Hancock, George Washington, Richard Henry Lee, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, Peyton Randolph, John Jay, Samuel Huntington, Lyman Hall, and Henry Laurens.
