While I was in Maine last October 2023 we went to a town called Bangor, Maine to visit some Stephen Kings Sites. My step-mother Cathy had a good idea to check some places. Here is where we went.
First stop was a old white house that was inspiration for the movie Pet Cemetery.
Second stop was Stephen Kings House. Its a blood red Victorian home with a black iron fence with gargoyles, bats and his initials. It was pretty cool to see it. People just keep coming by and taking pictures of the house. There is a tree on the property that died and they made it to animal sculpture
Third stop was a storm drain where the inspiration for George drowning down the drain in the movie “It.”
Fourth stop was Thomas Hill Standpipe. This is where they keep water for the town. There is stairs that takes you up to the top.
Fifth stop was next to the Thomas Hill Standpipe that was a bird bath from the movie “It”. When I took the picture there was a real crow in it.
Sixth stop we saw the Paul Bunyan statue. In one of the movies that statue comes alive and chases kids down the road.
